FAQ — Dominican Cigars
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Dominican cigars special?
Dominican cigars are made with tobacco from the Cibao Valley — one of the most prestigious tobacco-growing regions in the world. The combination of volcanic soil, subtropical climate, and generations of expert rollers produces cigars known for their balance, consistency, and refined flavor profiles.

What is the difference between Connecticut, Habano, and Maduro wrappers?
Connecticut: Light golden wrapper, mild and creamy smoke — ideal for beginners or morning cigars.
Habano: Natural brown wrapper, medium body with earthy, spiced notes — a great everyday smoke.
Maduro: Dark, oily wrapper from extended fermentation — full-bodied with rich notes of coffee and dark chocolate.
Can I buy cigars as gifts or souvenirs?
Absolutely. We offer individual cigars, boxes of 20, and curated gift sets — all properly packaged for travel and gifting. Dominican cigars make exceptional gifts for any occasion.
Do you offer private label or wholesale services?
Yes. We offer complete private label programs including custom blend development, band design, box design, and export-ready packaging. We also offer wholesale pricing with flexible minimum order quantities. Contact us for details.
How should I store my cigars?
Store cigars in a humidor at 65–70% relative humidity and 65–70°F (18–21°C). Keep them away from direct sunlight and temperature swings. A quality desktop humidor works well for collections of up to 50 cigars.
Where is your shop located?
We are located in Zona Colonial, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic — the UNESCO World Heritage historic district. Open Monday–Saturday 10:00 AM–7:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Are Cuban cigars better than Dominican cigars?
This is the most debated question in the cigar world. The honest answer: many of the world’s highest-rated cigars are Dominican. The Cibao Valley produces tobacco with a balanced, nuanced profile that rivals anything from Cuba — and Dominican cigars are legal worldwide, consistently made, and often better value.
